Education Campaign – All forms of media and Public Forum
compiled by Dr Evelyn Ho

Educating the public in an effective manner was no easy task. We had to get some personalities, namely breast surgeons, and also breast cancer survivors to help in this cause of educating the public. Our original intention of just using leaflets and pamphlets was expanded on professional advice and assistance to include local news and health pages, publications, electronic media and other health related media to get more coverage and hopefully reach even more people.

There were TV documentary/news segments, radio talk shows in addition to interviews from publication journalists. The education thrust began in September and ran into the 3rd week of October 2001.

We wish to record our thanks to the many publications/TV/Radio show producers and the interviewers/journalists who helped to make our education campaign possible.
