Official Launch of the Breast Cancer Awareness Campaign 2002 in Kuantan, Pahang

27 April 2002 - The National Council of Womens’ Organisations Breast Cancer Awareness Campaign spreads its wings to Kuantan, Pahang. A workshop was held for over 100 participants. It was a very successful event and amongst the activities included a talk by Dr Iskandar Firzada Hj. Osman. He is the Family Medicine Specialist of the Klinik Kesihatan Jaya Gading. There was also a self breast examination session, physical breast examination, measurement of blood pressure and height as well as blood tests for the participants. Nasi lemak lunch was provided for all the participants! 

Pahang’s campaign is the collaborative effort of NCWO with the Pahang State Health Department. The State Department has been very supportive with the provision of all refreshments and they are including a “breast cancer” team in their visits to the rural areas.
