Breast Health Awareness Self Breast examination workshop and Prevention of Breast Cancer. 15 March 2003, Wisma FGA

About 100 women attended a talk cum workshop on Breast Health Awareness and Prevention of Breast Cancer at Wisma FGA on a Saturday afternoon. Before the talk and workshop proper started, representatives from the Breast Cancer Welfare Association were on hand to help the ladies learn how to do self breast examination on teaching models. They also stayed on until after the talk and demonstration to continue to guide those who did not have a chance on the teaching breast models earlier.

As is usual, the ladies needed some coaxing before they answered questions. Incentives (small gifts) from Microsoft Malaysia, Siemens Medical, Johnson & Johnson and the College of Radiology were handed out to those who were “volunteered” to answer questions!

Much fun and laughter was generated as Dr Evelyn Ho from the College of Radiology expounded on the positive approach to breast health and the good habits of breast health in an informal interactive manner.

The session was made possible by volunteers from the Breast Cancer Welfare Association, J & J, and the host, Full Gospel Assembly, Jalan Kuchai Lama, Kuala Lumpur.
