PiView, designed and developed in Asia by Mediface Co. Ltd, is a Windows 98/NT/2000 based DICOM 3.0 compliant system that acquires, displays, archives, process, print and transmit medical image data. PiView in Tele-medicine / Teleradiology Applications 

The availability of digital transmission allows the possibility of teleradiology services. Teleradiology services would subsequently replace the traditional solution of transporting the X-ray film from a remote clinic or hospital to the radiologist for diagnostic reporting or to use the services of a visiting radiologist.  

PiView is designed to cater for teleradiology services. The system also allows for non-DICOM X-ray films to be converted into DICOM images using its VisualGate software and a film digitiser. The converted images is send using PiView TeleGate to the designated location for diagnostic readings or archiving functions.

PiView PC-based Diagnostic DICOM Viewing Station 

PiView is a Windows 98/ME/NT/2000 based DICOM viewing workstation, adapting, storing, processing as well as routing DICOM images and generating report. 

PiView is either a stand-alone DICOM workstation or an integral component of Mediface’s complete PACS solution. 

PiView fully supports the DICOM standard, including DICOM store, DICOM query/retrieve, and DICOM print and allows local management of Mediface’s powerful database functions. PiView supports up to two monitors.

 

 

 

 

 

 

PiView Expert Diagnostic DICOM Viewing Station 

PiView Expert is the extended version of PiView, with diagnostic feature applicable to large medical centers and University Hospitals. 

PiView Expert can support up to four high-resolution 2K monitors simultaneously and support advanced hanging protocols for efficient utilization of four monitors. It also includes functions for worklist and voice reporting for increase efficiency  

 

 

 

 

 

 PiView Video / Video Expert Non-DICOM Image Acquisition Gateway  

PiView Video is a DICOM Gateway that converts images acquired from various non-DICOM modalities including US, NM, MR, XA and RF to DICOM compatible.

These images are then transmitted to the PACS server.

 

 

 

 


 

PiView VisualGate - Visual DICOM Acquisition Gateway  

PiView VisualGate allows the connection of film digitizers, so that prior exams can be input to the PACS system. 

Input can be accepted from various equipments such as film digitizers, document scanners and digital cameras.

Any image can be placed in the patient record, fulfilling the vision of a total Electronic Medical Record (EMR). 

PiView Web-based PACS Client and Server System 

PiView Webserver allows secure access to the PACS system via a Web Browser. 

This solution provides full-scale teleradiology as well as a means for image distribution within larger institutions. Images can be retrieve directly from the web browser in any PC wherever the internet is accessible.

About Mediface Co. Ltd.
Mediface was formed by the merger in 1997 of two specialized imaging companies, Medical Interface, established in 1994 at Yonsei University College of Medicine Severance Hospital and the PACS Business Division of Medison. Medison is Korea’s largest specialized medical equipment company.
