Prize Presentation Day – 25 November 2004

Creative Design Contest and Drama & Poetry Challenge Prizes Also Presented

This year’s creative design contest (again co-organised with Dasein Academy of Art) attracted high quality entries in several categories - Best Ambient Media, Best Print Ad, Best T-shirt Design, Best Collaterals and Best Logo for a breast cancer awareness campaign. Best of Show was won by Ms Chan Yoke Ling, who swiped the Gold Awards for Best Ambient Media and Best T-shirt design and the Silver Award for Best Print Ad. She also won a RM150 MPH voucher, an Apacer AP510 AudioSteno MP3 Player with 512Mb RAM as well as an Apacer 256Mb Flash Drive.

Other Gold Award winners were Yap Chee Tuck (Best Print Ad), Eva Chan Chi Hwa (Best Collateral Design) and Liew Wai Yee (Best Logo). They all also won a 256 Mb Apacer Flash Drive.

Silver and Bronze awards were given out for the various categories and 12 also received merit awards for outstanding ideas.

The finalists’ creations were on display for all to enjoy and appreciate.

Surprise Poetry Recitals

Gold Award Poetry winner Adam Anand Row dedicated his poem to a friend who passed away from cancer at a young age

Nadine Diahann Jack – Silver Award Poetry Winner

The audience of some 90 people at the Prize Presentation Day, 25 Nov 2004 was mesmerised by winning poetry recitals – the surprise agenda on that day. The Gold Award Certificate with an Apacer MP3 player was won by Adam Anand Row while the Silver Award with an Apacer 128Mb Flash Drive was won by Nadine Diahann Jack.

Best Drama Production incorporating a theme on circle of life and breast cancer was won by the team comprising Peh Ju Lin, Aizuddin Othman, Istihany Marlina Mohamed Anuar, Mohamed Fazril Mohammed Jamal, Jacqueline Steiert, Tay Kwang Chan and Stephanie Wong Wan Xin.
