Meditel receives the www.radiologymalaysia.org Platinum Editor’s Choice Virtual Award – 25 Nov 2004

Meditel Electronics received the Radiology Malaysia Editor’s Choice Platinum Award on 25 November 2004 at Cititel, Mid Valley Megamall, Kuala Lumpur. Dr Evelyn Ho, Editor of Radiology Malaysia (www.radiologymalaysia.org) presented her roundup on the Radiology Malaysia Website since 2001. These virtual awards were given in recognition of the corporates’ belief in and support of the College of Radiology’s Official Homepage – Radiology Malaysia.

The Virtual Awards were presented at the Radiology Malaysia Prize Presentation Day for the 2004 Radiology Malaysia online quiz. Also unveiled was a report on the 2004 Breast Cancer Awareness Programmes.

Meditel Electronics, an associated company of Siemens has been a sponsor of the left side navigation bar of the main website since 2001, when the website was fresh and new on the internet. Since 2002, they have been the website online quiz sponsor for both prizes as well as print advertisements for the online quiz. Meditel became the events sponsor for the prize presentation since 2003.

Agfa Asean and Abex were presented with the virtual Silver Award for contributions to the website. Agfa Asean has been a sponsor for the left side navigation bar of the website since the website was born in 2001. Abex Medical System Sdn Bhd was a website prize sponsor for 2002 and 2003. In 2004, Abex also became a sponsor on the website.

Radiology Malaysia is community-focused and has a large subweb on the A to Z of breast health, the Breast Health Information Centre. In 2003, a forum was added to facilitate discussions, feedback and queries. It will completely replace the Talkback Q & A on www.radiologymalaysia.org.

The website is updated at least once a month and also reports on activities in the radiological, oncological, medical physics and allied professional community – as well as health issues related to these fields. It is specifically tailored for the Malaysian context and is wholly “Made in Malaysia”. It serves the community, medical professionals as well as the specific disciplines that make up the College of Radiology, Academy of Medicine of Malaysia.

www.radiologymalaysia.org contributions, donations & sponsorship:

Platinum – Contribution of more than RM25,000.
Gold – Contribution of between RM10,000 to RM24,999.
Silver – Contribution of between RM3,000 to RM9,999.
Bronze – Contribution of less than RM3,000.
