Looking for a PET? 5 Mar 2005 by Dr Evelyn Ho There is always excitement when talking about the possibilities of Positron Emission Tomography (PET) in the management of diseases. However, setting up a PET or PET/CT (combined PET and Computed Tomography scanner) service involves a committed multi-disciplined team as well as a PET radio-pharmacy production facility. An Evening with David Cosgrove 15 Feb 2005 by Dr Evelyn Ho
Professor Dr David O Cosgrove enthralled the radiology community with advanced techniques in clinical ultrasound as well as the use of contrast agent in sonography in Petaling Jaya, Selangor Darul Ehsan. “Advances in Medical Imaging: Seeing Structure and Function in the Human Body” – Professor Dr.Ng Kwan Hoong delivers his inaugural lecture at University of Malaya, Kuala Lumpur 26 Nov 2004 by Dr.Sumithra Ranganathan Professor K H Ng is a pioneer in promoting the field of medical physics in Malaysia and set up the postgraduate Masters programme in Medical Physics in University of Malaya in 1998. This masters programme is accredited by the Institute of Physics and Engineering in Medicine (IPEM), U.K. and is the sole program outside the British Isles receiving such recognition.
Professor Ng’s inaugural lecture covered a variety of new imaging modalities available over the last half of the 20th century. As mentioned five new imaging modalities have been developed. These include Nuclear Medicine Imaging, Ultrasound, Computed Tomography….

Progress and Innovations in Medical Physics, 3rd SEACOMP and 4th AOCMP, Kuala Lumpur, 27-29 Sep 2004 by Dr Evelyn Ho Prof Dr Ng Kwan Hoong, Congress Chairman and President of the South East Asian Federation of Organisations for Medical Physics (SEAFOMP) exclaims, “We are indeed very proud that the “Father of Spiral CT”, Prof Dr Willi Kalender has made his first trip to Malaysia to deliver the inaugural SEACOMP John Cameron lecture”.
