Malaysia Passes Seat of Administration of the ASEAN Association of Radiology to Philippines at the 13th Congress of the AAR

The AAR 2006 Congress was the successful culmination of a week-long series of radiology and oncology conventions. This was the second time since 1995 that the Philippines played host. The congress was held at the historical landmark, the Manila Hotel at One Rizal Park, Manila.

A Resounding Success – The STAR Programme 2006: Siemens- Schering Training in Advances in Radiology

Physicians, Remember the “Aching Heart” when treating your patients!

Dr Rosalie Shaw’s moving speech at Hospice Malaysia’s annual dinner was a reminder that physicians must remember to be kind to the patient. “Even within the services we are sometimes criticised for focusing on the physical symptoms and neglecting to comfort the aching heart - to ease the pain caused by the fear, anxiety, sadness, guilt, shame and disappointment felt by our patients and their family members”, Dr Shaw said.

Miracles of Sonography

It was truly a miracle that the audience remained captive for 2 days as expert speakers in ultrasound expounded and shared tips, tricks and techniques. It was 5.30pm on a Sunday before participants at this seminar on ultrasound reluctantly left the Hotel Armada, Petaling Jaya. The speakers had so much information to impart it left the participants hungry for more!

PET/PET-CT is NOT the Panacea for All Cancers In All Situations
