Da Ma Cai’s Health Aid 2007 Presents RM160,000 to Healthcare Organisations, Kuala Lumpur – 13 Dec 2007

Da Ma Cai (a brand of Pan Malaysian Pools Sdn Bhd) officially launched their annual Health Aid programme at Level 24, Menara Maxis, Kuala Lumpur on 13 December 2007. YB Dato’ Lee Kah Choon, Parliamentary Secretary, Ministry of Health officiated at the launch and cheque presentation ceremony.

It was YB Dato’ Lee Kah Choon’s third time attending the Health Aid Presentation event and thanked as well as congratulated Da Ma Cai for being a socially responsible citizen. He spoke of the 9th Malaysian Plan where the focus would not only be on providers, facilities and illnesses but also towards consumer empowerment, health promotion, lifelong awareness and disease prevention and control.

Mr Yin Yee Yuen, the Chief Operating Officer of Pan Malaysian Pools Sdn Bhd spoke of Da Ma Cai’s commitment to enhance the level of healthcare in Malaysia by supporting the Government’s and health related Non-Governmental Organisations (NGOs) efforts to raise the level of health awareness and to assist individuals faces with life-threatening diseases. He said, “We are also determined to play an active role in educating the public on the importance of leading a healthy lifestyle.”

This year, Da Ma Cai contributed a total of RM160,000 to 23 health-related organizations. Each organization received between RM5,000 to RM15,000. Among the beneficiary organisations of Health Aid 2007 were The Arthritis Foundation Malaysia, Breast Cancer Welfare Association, College of Radiology, Hospital Malaysia Kuala Lumpur, National Cancer Society of Malaysia, National Kidney Foundation and Yayasan Jantung Malaysia.

Da Ma Cai collaborated with the Malaysian Red Crescent (MRC) on the 18 November 2007 to co-organise Health Camp 2007 for the residents of Kampung Hylam, Port Klang, Selangor and its surrounding community.

The annual Health Aid programme began in 2003 and thus far, has contributed over RM550,000 to various health related NGOs nationwide.
