We have come to an exciting close of the Know Your Radiology Malaysia Facts Quiz series. We hope those of you who have participated have learnt a thing or two and had some fun along the way!

Grand Prize Winners Announced!
On the 23rd March 2002, a ceremony was held at the Pantai Medical Centre, Kuala Lumpur to award Grand Prizes and the January Monthly Quiz prizes to successful contestants in the online quiz series, Know Your RM Facts.

This Quiz Series, as some of you may already know and even participated in, was held to encourage the public to learn more about the website, www.radiologymalaysia.org, which was launched in October 2001, in conjunction with the Breast Cancer Awareness Campaign 2001. Grand prizes were awarded to those with all correct entries for each of the 4 monthly segments of the quiz. Slogans were the tiebreakers.

Grand Prize Winners
The College of Radiology, Academy of Medicine of Malaysia (formerly the Malaysian Radiological Society) and sponsors presented Grand Prizes to winners of the online Know Your RM Facts Quiz Series. Valencia Ong, Ang Jong Yih Ru and Ang Merlin were the Grand Prize winners after persisting with the monthly quiz series held from October 2001 to January 2002. The monthly prizes for January 2002 were awarded as well to Valencia, Ang Jong Yih Ru, Hooi Poh Meng, Ong Hooi Tin and Png Wong Tiang.

When asked what was the secret of her success, Mdm Ang Jong said, “ …it’s the process of getting old that prompts me to want to know more. Knowing that humans are so fragile and anything can happen to anyone. Precaution is definitely better than cure!” Mdm Ang Jong received prizes donated by Microsoft Malaysia Sdn Bhd valued at about RM1000.00.

Merlin, who is doing her Masters felt it was her involvement in the field of Nutrition and Community Health as well as her interest in knowing more about Radiology. Her prizes included the National Panasonic Smartcooker, National Massager, Natopherol Skin Defense E and an Anakku Voucher of RM100.00.

Valencia believes she has no secrets other than… “Just probably reading through the articles in the website, understanding what other surfers had to say, and thinking a bit through the information given…”. She believed this was a good project, disseminating information pertaining to radiology and most important, breast cancer!  She receives vouchers for a 2 night weekend stay for 2 persons in the Park Suite, Mandarin Oriental Hotel and buffet dinner for 2 at  Biba’s Café, Mandarin Oriental Hotel, Kuala Lumpur.
