Our patient briefings explain a variety of diagnostic procedures and treatments, how patients should prepare for them, and what patients can expect to experience during and after the procedure. These briefings are provided as a service to help patients address their medical care with less anxiety and greater comfort.

Rozailan Rosli Wins the TOP Prize in the 2004 Radiology Malaysia Online Quiz
Welcome to the 2004 Radiology Malaysia Quiz page! This Quiz was run in conjunction with the College of Radiology's Breast Cancer Awareness Campaign 2004 and its 3rd anniversary. The prize giving ceremony was held at Cititel, Kuala Lumpur on 25 November 2004. Ms Ranjit Kaur, President of Reach to Recovery International (an international breast cancer support network) was the guest of honour at the awards ceremony. For prizes and the winners, please surf to the respective pages.

Breast Cancer is a serious disease amongst Malaysian women
In the National Cancer Registry's 2002 report breast cancer is, far and away, the top cancer women suffer from. For every 1,000 women who suffer from cancer, 300 will suffer from breast cancer whereas "only" 120 will have cervical cancer.

The College of Radiology has, since 2001, embarked on an awareness campaign that carries a central message of Early Detection Saves Lives. To this end, we have conducted numerous self breast examination workshops (in collaboration with the National Council of Women's Organisations) and provided subsidised mammograms to over 3,947 women (in collaboration with the MMA Foundation Radiology Fund). Our efforts are ongoing as we need to reach people to impart this serious and highly important message to them. If you can detect breast cancer at its early stage, the chances of survival can be higher than 90%! For more information on breast cancer, please visit our Breast Health Information Centre.
