The National Council of Women’s Organisations (NCWO) Breast Cancer Awareness Campaign 2002 Launch on 8th March 2002
compiled by Dr Evelyn Ho

The National Council of Women’s Organisations Malaysia has embarked on a Community Service Project to raise awareness about breast cancer. The NCWO has received financial support from the Ministry of Women and Family Development and is working in collaboration with the College of Radiology, Academy of Medicine of Malaysia and the Breast Cancer Welfare Association.

Following hot on the heels of the successful 2001 campaign, this year's campaign objectives are to educate men and women on breast cancer and train grassroots women to carry out self breast examinations for early detection of breast cancer. Workshops will be held in 5 states from March till December 2002.
