SHELL Malaysia boosts MMA Foundation Radiology Fund – 5 Dec 2005
By Dr Evelyn Ho

About 40 people were entertained to an interactive talk on breast cancer and the art of being breast aware at Shell House, Bukit Damansara, Kuala Lumpur.

Although it was the end of the first working day of the week (Monday), the audience was kept on their toes with questions and rewarded with small gifts. The session started with a hands-on session on silicon teaching breast models facilitated by volunteers Rosa Ho and Mrs June Yeoh. A short slide presentation on breast cancer survivors launched Dr Evelyn Ho into the talk on Breast Cancer in a Nut-SHELL.

At the event, donations were received to help in the fight against breast cancer. Shell donated RM5,000, PS Pipeline donated RM1,000 and the Shell staff raised funds by selling pink ribbons and collected RM1,181 for the MMA Foundation Radiology Fund. The MMA Foundation Radiology Fund accepts and channels funds for the College of Radiology’s nationwide subsidized mammogram programme.

The College of Radiology is grateful for the donations received as it will go a long way for the mammogram programme.
