College of Radiology continues with education campaign on air thanks to Astro’s Malam Ini ZR 23 & 30 March 2005
Breast cancer was featured on Astro’s Malam Ini ZR – a live talk show in Bahasa Malaysia. Both Zainal Abas and Raiana Abdul Rahman were comfortable discussing this topic which also featured phone-ins from the viewers. Issues brought up included the fact that men could get breast cancer as well as the role of men and support in breast cancer.

The response from the viewers was excellent on the 23 March 2005 programme and another segment on breast cancer was deemed necessary. For the 30 March 2005 programme, long time survivor, Mdm C. Sarojini joined Dr Evelyn Ho as guests. This brought another dimension to the discussions – the experience of winning the fight against breast cancer from a survivor. A viewer phoned in from Shah Alam to give his comments on the importance of good support for someone diagnosed with and undergoing treatment for cancer.

The College of Radiology thanks Astro for providing the opportunity to spread the message on breast health awareness!
