Activities | Lecture and Demonstration on Acupressure by John Hunt, Doctor of Chiropractic on 14 June 2003 On the 14 June, the BCWA organized a session on Acupressure. John Hunt, Doctor of Chiropractic was invited to demonstrate and lecture on this topic. He was able to show every participant in the workshop what the technique of acupressure was and distributed lecture notes on which pressure points needed to be worked upon in various conditions – such as headaches, shoulder and neck aches, backaches and knee pain.
After the “theory” session, he encouraged everyone to find a partner to practice the techniques and personally went about to check on their progress. Two hours passed very quickly and it ended with a demonstration on stage of how acupressure for knee pain could be applied.
As usual, a BCWA social event would not be complete without refreshments. A delightful “high tea” buffet was the reward after a “strenuous session” for all.
