| Breast Cancer Support Group, JB holds a Breast Cancer Awareness and Healthy Lifestyle Campaign: Reach out to Wellness, Johor Bahru – 8 May 2010 
In conjunction with Mother’s Day, The Breast Cancer Support Group Johor Bahru (BCSGJB) and the Sri Tebrau Health Clinic organised a “Program Gaya Hidup Sihat Bersama Pemimpin” on 8 May 2010. The event was officiated by YB Dato’ Shahrir Abdul Samad, Johor Bahru Member of Parliament and sponsored by CIMB Foundation.
Doris Boo, President of the BCSGJB was elated as the public showed overwhelming response to the road show. She said, “Ladies started to line up by 7am at Dewan Raya Sri Tebrau, JB!!” Admission to the event was free. The variety of activities included a breast health talk by Dr Sarojah Arulanatham, “How to be stress free” talk by Dr Fadzil Mohd Salleh, laughter exercise, nyonya cooking demonstration by celebrity chef Florence Tan and health screening by Sri Tebrau Health Clinic. The College of Radiology Value Added Mammogram Programme was launched for JB and the surrounding areas. Women were also taught how to perform self breast examination. | | | Pictorial Report | | | |

NCR 2003 Report: Breast Cancer is still the top cancer amongst women 
Latest statistics from the National Cancer Registry (NCR) show that lung cancer is the most common cancer experienced by men in the country, whilst breast cancer is the top cancer in women. Lung cancer accounts for 13.8 per cent of cancer cases among men. For women, breast cancer accounts for 31 per cent of cases. Click here for National Cancer Registry Reports |  |
