Frances Yip Enthrals at Pink Charity Concert in Aid of Breast Cancer Awareness, Kuala Lumpur – 29 Oct 2010 By Dr Evelyn Ho Frances Yip’s voice resonated through the Plenary Hall of the KL Convention Centre, enthralling fans who just could not have enough. Frances sang a repertoire of songs that delighted young and old, weaving in her story in a seamless fashion that rendered the whole concert more meaningful and complete. She had very early breast cancer and did not need a mastectomy, and her staunch supporter was her husband who walked beside her in the journey through her diagnosis and treatment.

There was a mock cheque presentation at the introduction to the night’s event. RM550,000 was raised in the 2010 campaign and would be donated to four organisations, Breast Cancer Welfare Organisation, National Cancer Society of Malaysia, College of Radiology Academy of Medicine of Malaysia and Cancer Research Initiatives Foundation.
