RM45,000 Raised for Breast Cancer Awareness at the FMM & BCWA Putrajaya Pink Carnival, Putrajaya – 28 Nov 2010 The Federation of Malaysian Manufacturers (FMM) Women in Business Committee and the Breast Cancer Welfare Association (BCWA) co-organised a fun Pink Carnival at Putrajaya Lake Club on Sunday, 28 November 2010. RM45,000 was raised and the funds were channelled to the BCWA Pink Challengers, the dragon boat team formed by breast cancer survivors.
There were dragon boat races and in one of the races, the MixFM team won! Face painting, Harley Davidson and Dragon Boat rides were the order of the day. BCWA souvenirs, food and drinks sold out quickly. There was also a breast cancer talk, a sharing session from breast cancer survivors and a lucky draw with attractive giveaways. | Scenes at the Carnival | | | | |

NCR 2003 Report: Breast Cancer is still the top cancer amongst women 
Latest statistics from the National Cancer Registry (NCR) show that lung cancer is the most common cancer experienced by men in the country, whilst breast cancer is the top cancer in women. Lung cancer accounts for 13.8 per cent of cancer cases among men. For women, breast cancer accounts for 31 per cent of cases. Click here for National Cancer Registry Reports |  |
